Earl Webb
Founder and Co-Managing Partner
Mr. Webb has been deeply involved in all aspects of commercial real estate for over 35 years. He began his career in 1981 as an investment banker in the Capital Markets division of Continental Bank (now Bank of America). From there he joined the Corporate Finance Group at LaSalle Partners in 1985 where he was instrumental in the growth and development of their Capital Markets practice, ultimately running that business in North America and chairing the JLL Global Capital Markets Board (and was a member of JLL’s Executive Committee and Board of Directors).

He also served five years as CEO of the Americas for JLL, immediately after the mergers of LaSalle Partners, Jones Lang Wootten and Compass which formed now-JLL. As advisor to some of the US’s largest investors and occupiers of commercial real estate, Mr. Webb has advised on transactions totaling over $30 billion in asset value over his career. He joined Avison Young in 2009 as President of US Operations, driving growth in AY’s US business from zero to over $500 million in revenue during his 11 years in that role (Mr. Webb also has served on AY’s Executive Committee and Board of Directors throughout his tenure at the firm).
Mr. Webb holds a BS in Commerce (Finance and Accounting) from the University of Virginia’s McIntire School of Commerce and an MBA in Finance and Marketing from Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Business. He currently is a member of the Board of Directors of Pebblebrook Hotel Trust (NYSE: PEB), and has also served on the public boards of both JLL and Players International. He has been involved in numerous industry organizations throughout his career, including ULI, ICSC, and the Real Estate Roundtable. He is also on the UVA Planned Giving Council and on the McIntire School’s Foundation Board.

Tom Wattles
Co-Managing Partner
Mr. Wattles career in real estate spans over forty years. He began his career with Baxter International Inc., with a focus on international treasury. In 1978, he joined LaSalle Partners as Assistant to the Chairman, targeting finance and strategy. During his tenure there, Mr. Wattles co-founded the Mexico City and New York City offices of LaSalle. In 1991, Tom joined real estate private equity firm Security Capital Group, and while managing director, co-founded Security Capital Industrial Trust (now ProLogis, Inc.), where he served as CO-CEO until 1997, continuing as Chairman until 1998, and board member until 2002.

From 1997 to 2002, he served as Chief Investment Officer of Security Capital Group and sat on investee boards in Europe and the United States across multiple asset classes, including retail, office, industrial, parking, and residential. In 2003, he co-founded DCT Industrial Trust and served as Executive Chairman from 2003 to 2016. As Chairman Emeritus, he helped guide the growth of the enterprise to a successful $8.4 billion merger with Prologis, Inc. in 2018. Mr. Wattles received his BA with Distinction from Stanford University in 1974 and his MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business in 1976.
Today, Mr. Wattles serves on the boards of Regency Centers and Columbia Property Trust where he chairs the audit committees and also sits on the investment committees. He also sits on the board of Advance Real Estate, a large industrial owner, operator and developer in Mexico and on the board of Delin Properties, a European logistics space platform.
